Designer Suitcase

First off, you’ve got to have something fabulous to stow everything in. Show everyone in Vegas that you’re a high roller by investing in luxury luggage.

One thing many people forget to put on their Las Vegas packing list is energy shots or powder packs. Unless you’ve got unusual nighttime powers, you’ll need these to stay up late multiple nights in a row. Or to perk up the following morning.

In the Mojave Desert, the blazing sun can do a painful number on your lips. Preempt its chapping power by being religious about applying a beeswax balm.

Bathing Suit

Actually, make that multiple bathing suits. Pack at least two so that one can dry while you wear the other. These are an absolute must on any Las Vegas packing list. Sleep can be hard to get in this raucous town, so when thinking through what to pack for Las Vegas, don’t forget earplugs in case you end up in a hotel room with thin walls and noisy neighbors.

Headphones

Another solution for the noisy neighbor problem is an excellent pair of wireless headphones—also wonderful when you’re trying to focus on the slots.

Water Bottle

This is the desert, don’t forget, and it’s easier than you think to get dehydrated, especially if you’re partaking in all the nighttime drinking. Prevent that problem by bringing along an easy-to-tote water bottle.

Sleeping Mask

The challenge of packing for Las Vegas is you need variety. While “practical” may not be the first thing that comes to mind, remember to bring comfortable daywear for sightseeing, swimwear for your pool time, and evening-where for nights out. Here’s some more items to pack for Las Vegas.
