Walt Disney World hikes prices … again

It’s getting even more expensive for families to spend their vacations with Mickey and Minnie, Daisy and Donald, and the gang. Walt Disney World announced yesterday that it will raise ticket prices for the third time in two years.

A one-day, one-park adult pass now costs $71, up six percent from $67. Discount ticket packages are also affected, though visitors can lower the per-day cost by purchasing multi-day passes.

Disney raised its ticket prices twice in 2006, from $59.75 to $63 (plus tax) in January and from $63 to $67 in August. With a track record like that, Disney fans can expect at least one more increase in 2008. Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando will likely also join in on the price hike as they do whenever Disney World raises admission costs.
