AARP members can knock $75 off the lowest regular economy round-trip fares to the U.K. and $100 off the price of connecting flights through the U.K. You can get an even bigger discount in a premium cabin: $150 off premium economy to the U.K., $200 off to other points in Europe, and $400 off business- and first-class tickets. This offer is available for bookings through October 31, 2012; book through the British Airways website. Discounts apply to flights operated by BA and to flights operated by American Airlines with a BA code-share.
It’s been a long time since AARP had any useful airline discounts for members, so this offer is welcome. Even though $75 is a bit underwhelming, it’s better than no discount. As with any such promotion, however, always check alternatives before you accept any touted “discount.”
