Abu Dhabi Nightlife
Abu Dhabi is truly the Middle East’s capital of nightlife fun. Just about anything you might want to see and do can be found here. You’ll also find some incredible restaurants.
Word of Warning
Before you go out, do remember that while Abu Dhabi is a bit looser on rules than other cities and neighboring nations, it is still a country based on Islamic rule, which means there are guidelines regarding alcohol consumption. Many other nations in the region do not allow any alcoholic consumption. While it is allowed here, being openly unruly or drunk outside on the streets can result in arrest. So, if you’ve had a few too many, make sure to just call a cab and have it take you back to the hotel. Don’t wander around as it may cause potential legal trouble.
Night Clubs
Most of the hotels and resorts in the area have the best nightclubs. If you stay in an upper-tier hotel, you likely have some quality clubs and restaurants right inside (which can help if you’re thinking of consuming more alcoholic drinks). G Club is one of the best and is located inside Le Meridien. Cinnabar at the Hilton Abu Dhabi is another fun club. Allure by Capriani is in the Yas Island Yacht Club, while Rock Bottom is found in the Capital Hotel.
Now, the right club really depends on what you’re looking for. Each club puts on different music specials and dance options. Some are more of a sit down, chill in a booth club; while others really bring the music so you dance.
Music
While many of the clubs will play some songs you likely haven’t heard before, American music is still very popular here. Touring artists often come to Abu Dhabi, so don’t be surprised to hear a majority of American hits and Top 40. If you are curious as to what kind of music is played, check out the particular websites for each club. These sites should give rundowns on not only the music types, but what music is played on individual days.
Restaurants
Many of the top restaurants will be found inside of hotels. The Jazz Bar and Hemingway’s is in the Hilton Abu Dhabi, Oceans is in Le Royal Meridien, Sea Lounge is in the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, and Impressions is in Eastern Mangroves.
You won’t need a reservation at many restaurants. Thankfully though, as restaurants are often listed on the hotel websites, you not only can find out what restaurants are in your own hotel but if reservations are recommended.
