Cultural Attractions

The South Australian Museum is like taking a trip back in time. You won’t find a lot of high-tech exhibits, but there are high-quality artifacts on display from ancient Egypt, the Australian Aboriginal cultures, and other Pacific cultures.

For another historic journey, visit the Adelaide Zoo, part of which was constructed in the late 1800s. When visiting the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, allow at least two to three hours for the trip to see everything inside the greenhouses and the outdoor gardens.

The Cleland Conservation Park holds an open wildlife park, where visitors, carrying bags of animal food, can wander among kangaroos, emus, and wallabies. This is a rare opportunity to get close to native Australian animals in a natural habitat.
