Sherlock Holmes wasn’t needed to solve the mystery of the on-board bomb threat: It was the crew member (allegedly), in the bathroom, with the pen. The Mirror reported that flight attendant Matthew Davis allegedly graffitied the bathroom door during a flight to London from Tokyo with the words, “The bomb on board will explode at 16.00 GMT unless our demands are met.” He would have been better off penning a dirty limerick on the door, as Davis was arrested once the flight landed safely in London. The plane was searched, and no bombs were found.
We have to say, if Davis just wanted to get out of work, wouldn’t calling in sick be the better option than writing a bomb threat? Or maybe he just really, really didn’t want to go back to London’s frigid weather and was hoping the plane would divert back to Tokyo?
