For some people, Thanksgiving means much more than turkey and family; it’s all about the deals that come after the meal. If you’re a Black Friday aficionado, don’t overlook travel deals in your rush to save big.

How would you like to save up to 50 percent on hotel rooms, visit the Caribbean on a dime, receive 30 percent off ski vacations, or save hundreds on vacation packages to Mexico, Las Vegas, and Hawaii? Well, you’re in luck because several travel providers are offering Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals, and you don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn or fight lines of sleep-deprived people to take advantage of the savings.

Here are a few deals to get you started:

Hotels.com is launching a four-day sale, starting at midnight on November 26 through 11:59 p.m. CT November 29, where you can save up to 50 percent on hotel rooms in Chicago, Dallas, and Venice, California. Plus, the first 500 customers to book using the promo code 4DAY will receive a free  Flip™ Ultra camcorder.

Funjet Vacations is offering instant savings when you book a flight-and-hotel package to any of the nine resorts listed in its Black Friday promotion. Destinations include Riviera Maya, Jamaica, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and the Caribbean. The deal starts at $199 per person (without taxes and fees), and is available from November 26 through 29. Travel must be completed by April 30, 2011.

Sonesta Resorts Sint Maarten is also getting in on the Black Friday and Cyber Monday action, with a 50 percent off sale at its Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino and the Sonesta Great bay Beach Resort & Casino. You must book during November 26 through 29, and travel between December  25 and April 30. Use promo code BF10 to take advantage of the discount.

The ski season in Stowe, Vermont, officially opened November 24, and there’s no better way to celebrate the occasion than by saving 30 percent off an entire hotel stay at the Stowe Mountain Lodge. The offer is good during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, from November 26 through 29. Plus, you can get a one-day lift ticket if you check in Sundays through Wednesdays. Use code CM2010 to save.
