This was a first -a repositioning cruise from Ft.Lauderdale ending in Amsterdam. Eleven nights without land in sight……Would I be bored??? After all,my friends say I do more in 2 days than they do in a week.
Well,Celebrity cruise line far surpassed my expectation. First of all,I take Zumba classes here in the US. They hired a Zumba instructor Miggy that was a super instructor with 2 classes given every day of our crossing. I was in heaven and never felt guilty when I stopped for a scoop of ice cream !
I was totally impressed with the other professionals they had on board giving lectures for the guests education and entertainment. There was so much to learn from the former Olympian swimmer,an astronmer.a former astronaut,a chef and I had the most fun going to painting classes which I’ve always wanted to try. I found out landscapes and still life are not my forte, but I could give Van Gough a run for his money !
The professional entertainment was some of the best I have ever seen. The sets for one of the shows could have perfect for Broadway.
My husband is great at trivia and we enjoyed meeting new people and participating in some great games and won a few prizes as well !
We enjoyed the ports of call and was most surprised at the lush tropical beauty of the Azores. We had friends who live in Portugal and we had a personal tour of the city there. It doesn’t get any better than this. We also enjoyed our trips to Mount St. Michelle in France and Leeds castle in England.
For anyone contemplating a repositioning cruise GO! The price is right and you’ll find lots of fun things to do!
