The single supplement: It’s the bane of the solo traveler’s vacation planning. In this economy, it’s also a major roadblock for many single travelers on a budget.

Lately, many of you have been asking about solo travel deals. I’m going to offer a roundup of some cruise and tour deals I’ve found, but I was also hoping you’d share any deals you’ve seen and tips you have with other solo travelers.

So here’s what I’ve got. I’m sure there are more deals out there, so if you know of a waived single supplement or some kind of other good deal for solo travelers, please share it in the comments below!

Uniworld is waiving the single supplement on select 2009 European river cruises booked by February 28.
Classic Journeys is waiving single supplement on all departures for thirteen of the most popular itineraries, including a walking tour in Italy and a Machu Picchu trip.
Our sister site Cruise Critic is reporting that Regent Seven Seas Cruises has waived single supplements on select summer sailings
Tauck has waived or reduced single supplements on select upcoming cruises and tours.
