Why Visit Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos Islands are found in one of the most remote areas of the world. Many plants and animals are endemic, meaning they only exist here, so it's the ultimate bucket list trip for adventure travelers and wildlife lovers. Most visitors travel on a cruise, alternatively, you can take a "land cruise" and stay on the islands.
When to Visit Galapagos Islands
If you're looking to visit for snorkeling and diving, the water current is calmer and the water is clearer during the warm season. If you're looking for specific wildlife, research the species active or mating season to make sure you'll see them. For example, blue-footed boobies mate during the dry season.
Weather in Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos Islands are located near the equator, so there isn't much variety in the climate. Expect subtropical weather with December and January considered the warm/wet season, and June and November considered cool/dry. Temperatures range from 70 to 85 degrees year-round.
