I’m a big fan of dresses for travel. They’re comfortable, easy to pack, and require way less thinking than putting together a multi-piece outfit. My new favorite? The Beth Dress by Jude Connally. It checks off all of my “must-haves” for travel-friendly clothing: machine washable, comfortable, not too restricting, doesn’t need to be ironed, casual enough for daytime (but can be dressed up for the evening), and flattering.
Price and Where to Buy: Available on Jude Connally’s website for $158, and on Amazon.
How It Rates:
- Usefulness: 10/10. The Beth dress must have been designed for jetsetters. It isn’t too revealing, can easily be layered with a jacket or sweater for planes/cooler climates, and refuses to wrinkle.
-
Value: 7/10. Yes, you’ll pay more for a Jude Connally dress than one from a fast fashion store, but the Beth dress will be way more comfortable and won’t fall apart after the first washing.
-
Durability: 10/10. The dress is made from a Nylon/Spandex blend and has high-quality stitching. I’ve worn and machine washed the dress multiple times, and the color has remained as vibrant as the day I got it. This dress will last you for years.
-
Cool Factor: 10/10. The A-line silhouette will flatter pretty much anyone, and the dress comes in a wide variety of eye-catching, unique and colorful prints. I have the star lattice grass print, and it looks great in photos!
Final Verdict: The Jude Connally dress will find its way into your suitcase over and over again once you buy it.
