New WOW Routes Will Fly to India for $199 from These U.S. Airports

Is India on your bucket list? WOW air just announced new routes that are going to make it affordable for you to cross it off, with one-way flights from the U.S. starting at $199.

The new routes will go between Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and U.S. hubs including: Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). Check prices from your closest airport here.

WOW air is an Iceland-based budget carrier, so it’s no surprise that all of the flights will involve a stopover in Iceland. Be warned that the basic $199 fare only includes one personal item that must be 17″ x 13″ x 10″ or less,  and that you’ll have to pay extra for carry-on and checked bags, seat reservations, and in-flight meals. Want to splurge? A WOW premium seat to India will start at $699, which includes a roomier seat, two checked bags, one carry-on bag, one personal item, cancellation protection, fast track security in Iceland, priority boarding, an in-flight meal, and no change fee.

The new India routes will launch flights in December 2018, but the $199 flights are currently only available from January 2019 to March 2019. Book quickly if you’re interested: According to WOW air, only 4,200 seats will be available at the lowest rate, and they must be booked as part of a round-trip ticket.
