Both the capital and largest city in Zimbabwe, Harare doesn’t shut down at night. Head out for miles of clubs and lots of dancing right in the heart of the city.
Sam Levy Village
This area of Borrowdale is one of the best places to go for a good time at night. Home to dozens of clubs, the village invites people to go partying and relax with an established dance scence dedicated to those who love to get on the dance floor. You’ll also find many kinds of sports bars, varied jazz clubs, pool bars where you can grab a fun game as well as many cafés and restaurants under a single roof.
Another place to enjoy the area nightlife is at the Eastgate Mall. This is where you’ll find places to party early in the evening. Located in the center of the city, this is the place to head if you want a glass of wine in an enclosed space.
Sample the Cuisine
Zimbabwe is a notable destination for those who love many types of food. One of the most notable influences is that of Portugal. Portuguese residents have opened several restaurants in the capital. Look for a dinner of spicy chicken with rice. Other popular choices are places that incorporate local ingredients such as maize-style porridge, roast goat, and guinea fowl. Head out for a cheap and filling dinner at local restaurants with fish such a bream and salmon.
