Hong Kong Disneyland

We recently spent the day in Hong Kong during our 16 night Asian cruise. We were very excited to be visiting Hong Kong as we had been to all the other Disney park locations in the world and this was our last one to visit.

We took the train from one of the downtown train stations. We went to one of the machines located inside the train station and pushed the button on the map showing Disneyland. The machine displayed the amount of $2.70 for a one-way to Disneyland. We pressed we wanted two tickets, deposited our Hong Kong dollars and our tickets popped out of the machine. We asked a train station staff person in one of the glassed in booths which way was to the train, used an escalator down and were at our first train. We switched trains once and then we were at the train station for the “Special” Disney train to arrive.

When the Disney train pulled into the station it had Mickey Mouse windows, was carpeted, and had glass-enclosed wooden Disney statues inside the train. The train was wonderful. It took us directly to the Disneyland Hong Kong park entrance. From downtown it took only about 30 minutes (that included our time to figure out what we were doing and where to go).

The park was small, but well maintained and very enjoyable. I would recommend any Disney fan going to visit Disneyland Hong Kong for the day. The one-day admittance is cheaper than in the USA and there are shows there that are not at any of the other parks. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Hong Kong at Disneyland.
