JetBlue has started selling tickets through all of the major online travel agencies for the first time in its seven-year history.
Previously, JetBlue’s fares were only available on JetBlue.com. Last year, however, the airline began listing its fares on global distribution systems (GDS) that travel agents use to book airfare for travelers. Travelocity also began listing JetBlue fares last year, though they were not available as part of bundled packages.
JetBlue’s transition to online travel agencies is great news for travelers—the fares listed on Travelocity or Expedia will be more comprehensive than ever, making fare comparisons even easier. Now, if only Southwest would make a similar move.
