Las Vegas Transportation
Whether you’re hitting the blackjack table or catching a show, there are an abundant amount of transportation options in Las Vegas.
For the least amount of headache getting from the airport to The Strip you’ll want to get an airport shuttle. You can catch them outside of the doors by baggage claim 7 and it will only cost you $7 one way or $13 round trip. It is more expensive than the public bus but you will get to your hotel faster.
The public bus is a great way to get to the strip from the hotel or just to get around town in general. At McCarran Airport you can find the bus by taking the escalators or elevators down to Ground Level Zero. Walk out the doors and cross the first street to the center island. Buy your ticket for the Route 109 bus from a kiosk before boarding.
If you don’t want to walk the entire Strip or shell out for a cab, the CAT 301 bus route (a.k.a. the Deuce) will take you up and down The Strip for $2 a ride and runs 24 hours a day. The bus won’t give change so be sure to carry the right amount of cash with you.
There are two train options in Las Vegas, the first being the free CityCenter Tram which connects Vdara, Belliago, CenterCenter at the Crystals, and Monte Carlo. The second option is the Monorail which makes 8 stops along The Strip. It is slightly pricier than the bus but it’s clean and in the summer months the air conditioned ride is worth the few extra dollars.
With all the great transportation options around Las Vegas, you’ll have no problem fitting in everything you want to do during your stay.
