Mazatlan Things To Do
Mazatlan is a resort town on the west coast of Mexico. While in Mazatlan, soak up the sun, take a ride on a banana boat, and sample the local tequila.
Mazatlan caters to travelers from around the world. Many come for its miles of beaches and oceanfront resorts. While in town, you’ll find plenty of places to grab a drink, eat, and shop on the beaches. You can also go horseback riding along the water, parasail, or spread out on a towel and let time pass you by.
Mexico is home to some of the finest tequila in the world. If you’re a fan, set-up a tour. Los Osuna is one option. Tour guides will meet you in the city and drive you to the outskirts where the tequila is made. There, you can have a few samples and learn how they make tequila. Los Osuna is great, but it takes time and can be expensive. If you’re only in Mazatlan for a few hours, stop by a liquor store or bar in the city and try some tequila there.
Stone Island, or Isla De La Piedra to the locals, is a great excursion, especially if you’re on a cruise. Near the cruise terminal, you can hop on a water taxi and take a short ride to the island. There, you can search for souvenirs, clothing, and jewelry, or find a comfortable place on the beach. While on the island, you can rent an ATV or jet ski, snorkel along the shore.
