Moscow Shopping
Petrovka Boulevard
Petrovka Boulevard is the premiere shopping district for consumers in Russia. The upscale malls located in this area include the Barvikha Luxury Village and the Atrium, a mid-market shopping destination popular among locals. Vodka is a well-loved spirit in Russia, and Petrovka Boulevard is the place to get access to hundreds of different flavors not sold in the rest of the world. Cavier, furs, and Soviet memorabilia are among the other fares that can be purchased at the stores on Petrovka Boulevard.
Glavnyi Universalnyi Magazin
Glavnyi Universalnyi Magazin (GUM) is Moscow’s Main Universal Store. The store’s arcades boast wares by the likes of Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Etro. The shopping complex has been standing since the 19th century and was previously used as an office building. At one time it was even appropriated by Stalin, who displayed the body of his deceased wife when she passed away in 1932. It has since gone on to become a coveted shopping district.
TsUM
Approximately the same size as the GUM, TsUM is known for its trendy European offerings of merchandise such as furs, perfume, and jewelry. Its food hall rivals any five-star restaurant and serves cuisine such as blintzes and caviar. Those who shop at TsUM can expect to receive the VIP treatment. Modern fashionistas often make appearances at the shopping center
