Nasugbu Transportation
For those who are headed to Nasugbu, it is important to know all about the area including the transportation. Here are a few tips on the various traveling methods that tourists have used in years past.
Taking the Bus
Getting on the bus to Nasugbu is relatively easy, as there are two main companies who do a direct travel to the area. These buses are the DLTB bus and the BSC-MRT Pasay Taft. The DLTB bus is located at the Buendia Taft Avenue corner Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue while the BSC-MRT Pasay Taft bus is located at the back of the McDonalds building.
For those staying at Pico De Loro Resort and Beach Club, there is a free shuttle that takes you around the resort to and from the manmade lagoon, beach, and other areas of the resort.
By Car
There are two ways to get to the resort town of Nasugbu by car. For those who want a longer drive, the original road still stands and is called the Southern Luzon Expressway to Tagaytay City and then down to Nasugbu. For those who are interested in taking the newer route, which goes down Cavite Coastal Road to the Cavitex Highway and then through the largest tunnel in the Philippines that goes through Mount Pico De Loro.
Tricycle
The “tricycle” in the Philippines is a motorcycle with a carriage, and if you aren’t going on a tour it can be beneficial for you to learn how to use one while in Nasugbu. Be careful of getting scammed by anyone wanting payment for riding lessons, and be aware that there are areas in the city that tricycles can and cannot go. In general, they cannot be operated on busy streets or highways and are more commonly used in more rural areas. If you are wanting to hair a tricycle, you simply clapping in a way that the driver can notice you are in need of a pickup. Also, if you are hailing a tricycle and are with a group of friends or family, up to four people can fit on a tricycle.
