The bus connection into Perast is very good. There are many busses that go from Kotor to Perast during the day. You can catch these busses in Kotor at either the main bus station or at a bus stop located just outside the city wall. The trip takes less than thirty minutes and the cost is minimal. The official bus stops in Perast are located at the beginning and the end of the town. This is where you will be able to catch a bus back to Kotor.
There are some busses that are better than others. If you do end up on one of the bad ones, it is not horrible as the trip is quite short.
Many people prefer to tour Perast by car. You can get to Perast by following the Bok Kotorska Bay coast line. The road is narrow, but it is not difficult to drive it as there is never much traffic. One of the benefits of driving into the town is that you will get the chance to see the Montenegro coast that offers many wonderful views.
There are many locals who will provide you with a boat ride from Perast to the Islands of Gospa od Skrpjela and Sv. Djordje. The boat rides are offered at a fair and cheap price and the boat owners are happy to drop you off and then pick you back up whenever you wish.
