Puerto Vallarta offers many unique places to shop. You can find many handmade items as well as boutique stores.
The Flea Market has a large selection of stores and crafts people selling their wares. You can find great quality handmade hammocks, sculptures, jewelry, pottery, and many other items. You’ll find one Flea Market area by the Rio Cuale Downtown next to Riso’s supermarket. You can find Mexican blankets and sandals in addition to the other items. They have a large selection of pewter items as well. To get the best price, look at items from a few different vendors. They will try to give you a better deal than the other merchant. Don’t forget to negotiate as well.
Small boutiques are the perfect place to find fashionable clothes at reasonable prices. There is one down the street from Pipi’s. There are several of these shops in town. You may have to search a bit to find them, but they are worth the effort.
OXXO is the local convenience store. You will find them all around town. They carry groceries and other convenience items, and they can be quite handy.
Bucerias is a small town about 15 minutes away from the Royal Decameron. You can purchase souvenirs here for about half the price you pay in Puerto Vallarta. You can also find any items that you may have forgotten to bring, like toiletries. You can buy wood carvings, t shirts, keychains, shot glasses, and many more souvenir items. If you get thirsty, stop at the mini supermarket or one of the restaurants.
