Nature

Beaches/Waves: The waves along the beaches can be very strong and have the ability to knock you over and there is no lifeguard on duty, so use lots of caution, especially if you have young children. Do not swim in the beaches at night and nudity is strictly prohibited.

Ants/Reptiles/Other Native Species: The ants on beach number 7 and Niels Cove are quite large and vicious, they will bite you! Ants also hang out on tree branches. Do not pick up, destroy or remove any animals or plants during your visit, this includes live and dead coral from the reef.

Sun/Rain: There won’t be much shade when visiting the beaches and the sun can be quite strong, so bring sunscreen and reapply it often. If you have a large umbrella or sunshade, bring it with you. Rain can happen quickly and since the area is a rainforest, it can be torrential and last for hours, which will also make the area muddy.

Visitors must have a permit to enter the islands and you can not enter the national parks without permission. You must obtain permits to take photos and videos inside a sanctuary or a national park.
