Sedlec (Bone Church) Transportation
Many people visiting the Czech Republic find themselves in Prague for much of their trip. There’s so much to do there you can easily fill up a week or two or even three. With that said, Prague isn’t the only sightseeing destination in the country.
One very popular tourist spot you’ll want to see is the famous “Bone Church” in Sedlec. This attraction has captured the imagination of many, and is a “must see” on any itinerary. The church is both beautiful and slightly morbid, but absolutely photo-worthy and something to tell your friends and family about back home.
How Do You Get There?
You have several options, really. Which you choose depends on your personal preference. Typically, the trip is a minimum of a half-day when you factor in transportation, visiting the church and perhaps eating or visiting some of the nearby sites.
One of the easiest ways to visit the bone church is via a half or full day tour. These are typically bus tours that handle all the transportation and arrangements for you. You just book, pay and show up, they do the rest.
Taking The Train
You can take a train from Prague to Kutna Hora, and then take either a tour bus or a city bus the remainder of the way. This route will be less expensive than booking an actual tour, and you’ll have the opportunity to leave when you want and explore at your own pace.
Renting A Car
Finally, you have the option to rent a car. This is ideal if you’ll be exploring more of the country, as it allows you to make as many stops as you want without having to worry about train or bus schedules. However, if you aren’t comfortable driving in a strange place, you may wish to stick with the bus or the train.
