This is a delightful German-style town in the middle of Michigan. Famous for its chicken dinners, Frankenmuth has some fine shops, restaurants, and quiet streets.

Frankenmuth Visitor Center

If you stop by the Frankenmuth Visitor Center you can pick up some brochures and maps and if you have an interest in the history of Frankenmuth, this museum is right in the heart of the village. It has collections of artifacts and documents detailing the history and evolution of the Frankenmuth community.

Take a Stroll in a Bavarian Village

The village is  wonderful European-style shops selling fudge, arts and crafts, and plenty of souvenirs.  You can hear the legend of the pied piper every day at the Bavarian Inn. You can also see and listen to the glockenspiel, which was was built in Germany and installed in 1967. Many companies offer carriage rides, which is a romantic and casual way to tour the village. Look for companies on Main Street to book your tour.

Paddleboat Ride, Mark Twain Style!

Go aboard The Bavarian Belle for an authentic  paddle boat ride down the Cass River; it’s a relaxing and scenic way to spend an hour. It’s also an enjoyable way to see the town.

Bronner’s for Holiday Decorations

If you want some nice Christmas decorations, Bronner’s is the place to shop. This Christmas-themed store features more than 50,000 trims and gifts from around the world. The store is so big, that you are given a map when you enter. Be sure to bring your camera because outside there are an incredible amount of photo-worthy Christmas displays.
