The Nature Trips

Located near to the city is Anawangin Cove. Boatmen in the area can be contracted for travel to the cove. These boats typically don’t hold any more than 15 people, but you’ll have enough room to be comfortable. Held around the last week of May in Barrio Barreto, ‘sibit sibit’ refers to the small paddle banca (native boat) used in the ancient fishing villages from which Olongapo was ultimately born. In past times, fishermen held banca races using traditional sibit sibit driven by paddles.Today, the traditional fiesta is transformed into a colorful and enthralling beach festival.Aside from the boat races, the festival boasts sun and sand competitions, aqua sports activities, fabulous food showcases, bar and club activities, entertainment sprees, and talent showdowns.
