See the Vineyard
Start from the funicular station and then head to the vineyard. There’s a pathway around the vineyard that offers a scenic view of the vines and a glorious view across the entire lakes. This is particularly colorful during the autumn.
The Musee Jenisch or Jenisch Museum is a lovely building in the heart of town. It has two museums. The Fine Arts Museum houses one of the largest collections of drawings in Switzerland including works by Degas, Ingres and Picasso. The other museum housed in the museum is the Cabinet Cantonal des Estampes or Museum of Prints. There’s also wing devoted to the works of modern artist Oskar Kokoschka. Vevey is on the shores of Lake Leman. Start with a walk across the town to see the church and the Charlie Chaplin statue. Vevey was a favorite destination of his. Then head out on the lake for a boat ride to see the town. The lake makes an ideal home base from which to see many other towns in the area. You can head for a relaxing boat ride to elegant Montreux.
