Branson Tourist Traps
While Branson is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the United States, there are places you should avoid at all costs. These “tourist traps” can lead to lost time and they may lead to you finding yourself in a situation you wish you could be out of.
Silver Dollar City
While Silver Dollar City definitely has some places that you will want to hit when you visit Branson, it can be a bit of a mixed bag. The area appears to be one that has gone out of its way to cater to any and all travelers. Some tourists have reported stores selling things that “normal” people are going to get a bit uncomfortable around. Whips and chains have been mentioned more than once as something that were spotted in area stores. One of the stores even were stocked with confederate flags during a period of time when those kinds of flags were pretty clearly not an acceptable item to have.
Avoid the 76 Strip at Certain parts of the Day
When you are going through Branson, you are going to get caught in traffic from time to time. The best way to get trapped in this kind of traffic jam is to avoid being on certain roads when one of the many shows is getting out. The area has actually given places and ways for people to avoid the most tourist trappy areas in Branson so yuo can avoid getting caught in the jams. If you get a map of the area, you will notice there are blue, red, and yellow routes, which are back ways to the strip, without being on the strip.
