Transportation in Karachi: by Train

For traveling into and out of Karachi, buying a train ticket and enjoying long the ride is the best option. There are many different trains to choose from that travel to places like Lahore and Rowalpindi, among others.

Korakoram and Karachi Express Trains

For a fast and comfortable ride from Lahore to Karachi, or Karachi to Lahore the Korakoram Express or Karachi express are the best options. The new train cars with comfortable seats make only 6 stops along the way. These trains have dining cars where they offer dinner trays. This food is better than station food. It is even better if you carry your own food and water.

On the Korakoram express, the AC lowered class is a good choice for travel. The cars are nice and clean. Departure is late in the date and travels overnight so you do not waste any time on your trip. Sleep the whole ride there. Train fare is a little more expensive on this line, but it is worth it for a faster, cleaner ride.

Pak Business Express Train

Pack Business Express train is a new business train packed with facilities to keep you comfortable on your trip to and from Karachi and Lahore. With a total travel time of 18 hours, you will enjoy private cabins for up to 6 passengers and overnight non-stop travel. Hi-tea, dinner, snacks, and beverages are included in the fare.

Pakistan Express to Rowalpindi

This train service does not have a dining or beverage car. Remember to bring your own food and water for the long trip. Overnight trips are also dark and might not be best for bringing children along.
