One of the perks of the travel-writer lifestyle is the chance to meet and work with interesting and adventurous people all over the world. Last year, on a trip to Antigua, I was fortunate to meet one such wandering spirit—a writer named Avital Binshtock.
This weekend, Avital and her friend Jen Haft are setting out on a cross-country road trip from New York to California, and they’re keeping an interactive blog to chronicle their journey. Writing on assignment for The LA Times, Avital’s and Jen’s Two for the Road journey will rely on reader suggestions about where to go and what to do once they get there.
They’re looking for sights, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels—anything, really—that will make their trip one to remember. I’m looking forward to reading it. I think you’ll enjoy it, too. And I’m sure Avital and Jen will appreciate any suggestions you might have.
