Varna Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Inside Tips

Varna Shopping

Varna is the largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and attracts tourists due to its seaside location. It is a popular resort city that is filled with plenty of places to visit, dine, and shop for souvenirs.

There are several notable malls in Varna that allow shoppers to browse a wide selection of goods. The Grand Mall is the newest and biggest mall in Varna and includes a football court-better known as Soccer to Americans-on the top of the building. Located underground is the supermarket Carrefour, while the first two floors are filled with a variety of shops. The food court and kid attractions help visitors ease their hunger pains and entertain their children while visiting. Mall Varna is older than the Grand Mall but contains just as many shops and plenty of entertainment. There are play halls, cinemas, a food court, a supermarket, and many little shops. With so many options, visitors will find plenty to see and do before returning home.

The malls aren’t the only place to go shopping in Varna. There are many markets available along Piskulev street, where you can typically pick something up at a good price. This area also makes for a nice place to take a walk and browse the stalls. Meanwhile, in the center of the city is Varna Market. This market is tucked behind the Opera House just off of the main square, and it sells a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and salad stuffs. It makes for the perfect place to buy groceries and prepare for an evening meal.

Street Vendors

There are plenty of vendors along the streets selling all sorts of goods and services. Artists will take your photographs and make chalk drawings from them, while open air stalls sell art, toys, jewels, clothing, and other souvenirs. Shops stretch down the main street of Varna from the Cathedral to the beach, giving visitors plenty of opportunities to dine and shop during their stay in the city.
