Hey, maybe these bees figured out that they could save energy by hitching a ride on a plane instead of flying. USA Today reports that approximately 10,000 honey bees attached themselves to the wing of a flight at a Pittsburgh airport. Airport workers had to call a beekeeper to remove the swarm. The scary part? This is the fourth swarm of bees that the airport has had to deal with!
We guess this Air Asia passenger really changed his mind about flying to Kuala Lumpur. The Huffington Post reports that the plane began taxiing down the runway, and then a man opened the exit door and jumped out. The man was reported to be an off-duty crew member, so maybe he was trying to pull a Steve Slater?
Finally, do you think that if one of your planes has damage that alarms passengers, you should fix the problem instead of scrawling a note about it? ABC News posted a photo from an Alaska Airlines passenger who reportedly looked out a plane’s window and saw a damaged portion of a wing—with a handwritten note above the area saying “We know about this.” Reassuring! The airline said that the note was there to avoid multiple maintenance reports, but we sure wouldn’t want to see that on our flight.
