Mysterious remains and two unpleasant flights led to a weird week in travel.
Archaeologists discovered a strange pair of skeletons in Bulgaria—the skeletons had been impaled with iron rods, leading people to speculate that the victims’ killers feared the bodies would turn into vampires, reports the AP. Better stock up on True Blood, or go the other route and purchase the vampire-slaying kit from the 1800s that’s being auctioned off in Britain next week.
We’re not saying it was a stinky passenger, but we’ve definitely sat next to a few fellow flyers who’ve made us reach for the air sickness bag. The Huffington Post reports that a Southwest flight to Burbank had to return back to Oakland Airport after a flight attendant felt sick due to a smell on the plane. The cause of the bad smell is yet to be determined, but our money is on the passengers or heating up an in-flight meal.
Be careful who you sit next to on flights. The International Business Times recounts a live-tweeting incident that occurred on a red-eye flight out of Los Angeles. The tweeter, a professional model, claimed that her seatmate, a married 34-year old actor, hit on her during the journey. She tweeted his alleged moves as well as her responses, and the alleged conversation went viral. The actor denies the story.
If you see anything weird on your flights this week, please live tweet it to us!
