Aquaroo Baby Carrier Review

Baby carriers are super convenient, but none were waterproof, until now. Aquaroo was born when mom Katy had a toddler and a baby, and while the toddler was happy splashing around on their own, the baby needed to be held. Anyone who has dealt with a baby in the water knows that it can be a slippery hassle, which Katy quickly found out. Thanks to Katy’s love for going into the pool with her kids, she developed the idea for Aquaroo, a safe and easy solution for taking your baby into the water.

What is the Aquaroo Baby Carrier?

The Aquaroo Baby Carrier is a waterproof baby carrier to use in the water for children weighing 12-30 lbs who can support their necks on their own.

What Makes the Aquaroo Baby Carrier Different?

Most baby carriers cannot be used in the water, but the Aquaroo can. It keeps your baby secure while you are in a pool or other body of water.

Ease of Use: 9/10

The first time you use it, make sure you have the directions handy, otherwise, it may be difficult to figure out how to put it on correctly. Once it is on, and you figure out how to do it (much easier with directions), it’s easy to put the baby in and out.

Cost: 7/10

This baby carrier is comparable to other high-end baby carriers at $175, however, unlike those carriers, which can’t be used in the water, this one should only be used in the water, as the materials aren’t breathable like other carriers, so will get too hot when you aren’t in the water.

Drying Time: 10/10

After rinsing from use in salt water, the pack dried quickly and was ready for use later in the day.

Safety: 10/10

Once the baby is securely in the carrier, they are completely secure. In calm waters, babies can splash and kick without adults worrying that they will slip out of their arms or get knocked over by a wave while sitting. It’s a super safe way for your baby to enjoy the water. Not for use in rough or deep water, use when walking in water (not for swimming).

Aquaroo Baby Carrier Pros:

  • Made with 85% neoprene, 14% polypropylene, and 1% polyester fabric, it is 100% waterproof.
  • Lightweight.
  • Allows for safe carrying of your baby in the water.

Aquaroo Baby Carrier Cons:

  • First-time use takes a bit to figure out.
  • Not really useable out of the water, as it may cause overheating.
