Why Visit Aruba
The beaches alone are more than enough reason to visit Aruba, especially beautiful Eagle Beach. But this desert island is full of other delights, like a national park with caves and hiking trails, and an ostrich farm where you can meet 80 of the giant birds. Oranjestad is worth a visit for colorful Dutch architecture and great shopping.
When to Visit Aruba
There's really no bad time of year for Aruba travel. The island enjoys consistently warm temperatures and an average of at least seven hours of sunshine a day year-round. Hotel rates are higher and beaches are most crowded from December through April, so you can avoid crowds by visiting at other, less busy times of year.
Aruba is outside the usual path of hurricanes and enjoys steady temperatures in the upper 80s year-round, dipping into the 70s overnight. The desert climate means rain is relatively scarce, with the bulk of it falling between October and January. Even then it tends to be in the form of passing showers that won't disrupt your vacation.
