Don’t want to be bored on your next vacation? Skip these ten spots (which were recently deemed the least fun destinations in the country) in favor of the most entertaining cities in the United States. 

Finance site WalletHub ranked the 182 most populated cities in the US to determine the list of the most fun cities. Each city was earned points in three categories: entertainment and recreation; nightlife and parties; and costs.

The entertainment category evaluated a diverse group of attractions including hiking trails per capita, amount of parkland as share of city area, and sports-fan friendliness.

The nightlife category looked at factors such as time of last call, legality of public drinking, and presence of music festivals. 

The cost factor was determined by analyzing financial markers such as the average price of beer, price for a three-star hotel room, and prevalence of affordable restaurants rated 4.5 stars or higher.
